Story About Us
La Promesa Foundation is a non-for-profit corporation founded in August 2022 by the President, Jesús Torres. The corporation is organized exclusively for charitable and educational purposes provided for under Section 501 (c)(3). An annual Celebrity Basketball Event will be hosted each year to collect funds to help with our cause.
Why Invest In Our Future?
The U.S. Hispanic population reached 62.1 million in 2020, making it the nation's second largest racial group. The Hispanic population is one of the fastest growing groups in the U.S. The number of Hispanic workers in the labor force has grown from 10.7 million in 1990 to 29.0 million in 2020 today, and is projected to reach 35.9 million in 2030. In Pennsylvania, about 8.4% of the population is Hispanic or Latino.
